Migration Heritage Archive and Training Tool

A project by the West of Scotland Regional Equality Council

This is Glasgow features a book, short film and exhibition exploring and celebrating the legacy of migration to Glasgow.

The resources have been made available here so that they can be downloaded for free and used as part of workshops to tackle prejudice and discrimination with groups of all ages. An accompanying workshop outline incorporating these resources has also been made available.

This is Glasgow stems from two projects by the West of Scotland Regional Equality Council – Stepping into Diversity and the Good Community Relations Project – which were developed to challenge prejudice and discrimination by creating educational opportunities.

The projects used five methods: oral histories, heritage walks, exhibitions, workshops and training. These, in turn, were developed into the book, film and exhibition.
